Matthew Wang Provides Original Music For Apple Original Podcast ‘Magnificent Jerk’

Matthew Wang (he/him) has provided original music the latest Apple TV+ original podcast Magnificent Jerk, a Pineapple Street Studios production (with executive producers Maya Lin Sugarman, James Kim, Max Linsky and Jenna Weiss Berman) that just premiered on September 18th. The podcast follows journalist Maya Lin Sugarman as she explores deeper into the past of her late uncle, Galen Yuen. Her uncle wrote the screenplay to The Crazy Six, a 1997 mafia action film that starred Rob Lowe, Burt Reynolds and Ice-T. However Sugarman discovers that Yuen was not simply a film writer, but a man whose life had many twists, one in which he was at one point the leader of a Chinese mafia himself.

A narrative that ties personal family, criminal history, and journalism all in one, Magnificent Jerk is a compelling and immersive experience worth listening to. You can find the latest episode drops here.
