Caleb and Brian Chan Win CASMA for North of North

The 2025 Canadian Screen Music Awards took place on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 in Toronto, and we’re thrilled to congratulate Caleb Chan and Brian Chan for winning the CASMA for Best Original Score, Comedy Series or Special for episode 8 “Bad Influence” of the hit Netflix series North of North. This is well-deserved recognition from their peers in the Canadian composer community for a lighthearted score that features Innuk throat singing blended with contemporary production for the Netflix series that was certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

Caleb and Brian were also nominated in the category Best Original Score, Animated Series or Special for their score from Nickelodeon’s The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish. Peter Chapman was also nominated in that category for his co-score from the animated series Go Togo (with Shaw-Han Liem) as well as in the category Best Original Score For A Television Movie for his co-score from Wynnona Earp: Vengeance, which he shared with Robert Carli.
