Bio

Taylor Rowley (she/her) is a music supervisor and DJ based in Los Angeles. She has a degree in film production from Loyola Marymount University, where she also began her long-running radio show, The Windmills of Your Mind, on its legendary college station KXLU 88.9 FM. After graduating, she worked in a number of creative fields including music publishing, concert promotion, and film programming, while continuing to DJ on the airwaves and around town, most notably at Cinespia’s famous summer screening series at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Eventually she branched out to music supervision, embracing the opportunity to combine her passion for film & TV, her love of music, and extensive knowledge of both mediums. Over the past decade, Taylor has contributed to many award-winning and critically acclaimed TV series such as Beef (A24/Netflix), Reservation Dogs (FX), and Pen15 (Hulu). She was the music supervisor of films like India Donaldson’s indie breakout Good One, the Steven Soderbergh-presented thriller Cold Wallet, and the award-winning French short Deux Personnes Échangeant De La Salive (Two People Exchanging Saliva).

Her latest projects include Kent Jones’ Late Fame (2025 Venice Film Festival) and Amanda Kramer’s By Design (2025 Sundance Film Festival). Many of the films Taylor has worked on have had premieres at Sundance, Cannes, Venice, Tribeca, TIFF, SXSW, NYFF, IFFR, AFI Fest, CPH:DOX, and New Directors/New Films.

When she’s not music supervising, she hosts a bimonthly program on London-based NTS Radio, fostering her lifelong obsession with forgotten musicians of the mid-20th century, and is one of the programmers at EXP TV, a live-streaming television channel broadcasting an endless stream of obscure video ephemera. Taylor is dedicated to unearthing buried media treasures, dusting them off, and giving them a place to shine.
