Rebekka Karijord Scores Upcoming Netflix Series ‘Deliver Me’

Rebekka Karijord (she/her) has scored the upcoming Swedish Netflix drama series Deliver Me, based on the novel of the same name by award-winning author Malin Persson Giolito. The series follows teenagers Billy and Dogge, and when they are recruited by a local gang, the friends face a violent world they are too young to protect themselves from. Tough themes explored by this series include childhood innocence, justice, and social responsibility.

“Netflix takes stories about young people seriously and is not afraid of portraying difficult issues. That is why Netflix was my number one choice for adapting Deliver Me to screen and I am so proud that this will also be my debut as a screenwriter. I thought Netflix’s adaption of Quicksand was the best thing that would ever happen to me professionally. But I am beginning to think that this is even bigger", says Malin Persson Giolito.

Deliver Me is produced by duo Frida Asp and Fatima Varhos, directed by Anna Zackrisson. The series premieres April 24th. You can watch a trailer for it below.
