Matthew Wang Listed in Cohort for Warner Bros. Discovery Music Supervisor Program

Matthew Wang has been selected to be in the very first cohort of Warner Bros. Discovery’s Access Music Supervisors Program, an opportunity for individuals from “historically underrepresented communities…to gain experience in television and film music supervision,” according to Variety.

The inaugural 2022 cohort is a highly competitive selection of just six individuals from the US and UK. Matthew and his fellow selected participants will complete a curriculum of masterclasses designed by WBD executives and led by top supervisors who will explore topics such as production, IP management, publishing, licensing and clearance just to name a few. Outside of these courses, the cohort will receive hands-on experience by shadowing a WBD supervisor on a show or a feature with HBO, HBO Max, WBTV or Warner Bros. Pictures.

Other Access programs have already been established in the company’s other departments. The goal among all of these is to broaden the industry’s representation not just in front of the camera, but among those working hard behind it as well.

Congratulations, Matthew, and best of luck with this fantastic program!
